Senior Integrations Engineer
About Us
SPICE is a restaurant growth platform. We give restaurant partners upfront capital in exchange for dining credits, connect diners with the best restaurants in Riyadh, and turn every payment into something that gives back. We are a small team that moves fast, ships what matters, and believes every decision should create value for us, our partners, and our users.
This role is remote. Our partners are in Riyadh, and our team works across KSA and Jordan, so expect real overlap with Gulf hours .
About The Role
We're looking for a Senior Integrations Engineer with a builder's mentality to own how SPICE connects to restaurant point-of-sale systems. You'll bring our integration layer in-house, writing direct connections to platforms like Micros, Simphony, Revel, Posist, and Foodics across both cloud and on-premise environments. You'll work directly with the founding team, and the standards you set here will define how SPICE integrates with every external system we touch.
What You'll Achieve
Build and own SPICE's POS integration layer end to end
Design and ship direct API connections to priority POS vendors, starting with the systems our largest restaurant partners run
Build middleware that handles the differences between POS vendors so product teams work against one consistent interface
Deliver integrations across both cloud and on-premise POS environments, including the networking and VPN setup on-prem requires
Work cross-functionally with internal teams (product, onboarding, customer success) to get integrations live and keep them running
Define the technical standards and patterns SPICE uses to integrate with any external system
Skills You'll Need to Bring
3 to 6+ years as a backend software engineer, building and running API integrations in production
Direct, hands-on integration experience with at least two of: Oracle Micros, Oracle Micros Simphony, Revel, Posist, Foodics. You have written code against the vendor's API, not used a ready-made connector
Comfortable with both cloud-based and on-premise POS systems, including the VPNs, networking, and on-site setup that on-premise involves
Experience building middleware or integration layers that connect to many different external systems
Nice to Haves
You have come from a POS integration or implementation company, or a POS vendor's partner ecosystem
Experience getting through POS vendor partner or certification programmes, for example Oracle or Foodics
Background in payments, fintech, or restaurant/hospitality technology
Familiar with our stack: Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, PostgreSQL. Strong engineers from other stacks are fine
Want to Stand Out?
Tell us about the messiest POS integration you have built. What the vendor's API got wrong, what you had to work around, and what you would do differently now. A few paragraphs is plenty.

About SPICE
We fund restaurants with upfront capital, then drive high-value diners to their tables. No debt. No equity. No repayments. Just growth capital that turns cash into customers.
Because restaurants don't need loans :they need partners who believe in their brand, experience, and vision.
For diners, it's the app that makes every meal more rewarding : exclusive experiences, cashback, and the best tables in the city.
